Job Description
- Develop and maintain close understanding of the business drivers to financial performance
- Support and challenge market managers' strategic actions by providing insightful commercial data analysis and recommendations, act as a valued business partner to support the commercial decision makings
- Provide insightful commercial analysis in all aspects including Pricing, ROI on Trade & consumer promotions or Advertising investments, New product development, New channel development, Cost control, Distributor management & route to market model
- Outline, measure and report the KPI's to ensure the responsible markets are on track
- Increase financial capability of non-finance team members through ongoing training
- Coordinate generation of accurate sales forecasts, work with market managers, Operations, and Demand Manager in the responsible markets
- Create and manage accuracy, quality & timely reporting (monthly), forecasts (quarterly), budgeting (annual) and long-term planning (annual 5-year plan) for the responsible markets
- Coordinate with related parties to manage accurate day-to-day accounting and monthly reporting
- Monitor & analyse variances against plan to create clear business understanding, communicate and manage expectations, and form the corrective action where needed
- Track and analyse distributor information and KPIs (In-market sales, stock levels, margins)
- Manage communication of planning and reporting, submit financial statements and required analysis to the Group and perform insightful presentations to the top management
- Build, maintain and improve effective control systems
- Directly responsible for financial control systems including pricing, transfer pricing, vendor contracts, marketing spends (Advertising, Promotion, Trade Investment) both directly or via distributor, overheads, foreign exchange settlement, working capital (mainly debtors and accruals)
- Manage expense approval processes, track expenses, communicate variances
- Coordinate external and internal audits
- Closely monitor business performance against benchmarks (forecast/expectation) on a timely basis
- Highlight on risks and opportunities to achieve financial targets
- Create and present options to mitigate projected variances to financial targets
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related business fields
- CPA holders are preferred
- 7+ years of FMCG experience especially in Commercial Finance from MNC
- Solid business partnering, planning, reporting and financial control experience
- Strong interpersonal skills, flexible, hands-on, independent, commercial savvy with a can-do attitude
- Fluent English communication
