The client is a renewable energy company based in Thailand. It is a subsidiary of top local corporation, focusing on the development, investment, and operation of renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, and geothermal power. The firm aims to promote sustainable energy solutions and contribute to reducing carbon emissions through its various projects across Asia and other regions. The company is listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) and actively participates in the green energy sector, seeking to expand its portfolio of clean energy assets.

Job Description

Business Development

  • Lead development of Energy Innovation (business development) strategies, review, and advise on policies.
  • Define the new business deployment policy as the priority of investment importance which is legally correct and transparent.
  • Create market analysis and identify industry trends and business opportunities for short and long-term growth plans.
  • Promote new business developments and investments, propose execution strategy, and provide appropriate solutions to improve project performance to meet its objectives.
  • Source potential business deals by contacting potential sellers, partners, or new business opportunities to expand the business. Identify business opportunities within the current market footprints.
  • Screen potential business deals, and requirements of the deals, evaluate the financial & commercial aspects of the deals, and provide recommendations to the management team.
  • Monitor and remain up to date with the evolving market conditions and government policies related to business energy efficiency solutions to adapt business plans as required.
  • Establish strategic and sustainable customer relationships across all customer formats - understand customer's commercial and format decision-making structure, including with the government officers, bankers, regulators & authorities, and other strategic partners.
  • Lead and manage all contract and agreement processes for deal closure and ensuring approvals whilst keeping information confidential.
  • Direct the internal approval processes including preparing the presentations and related documents and making recommendations to senior management for review and consideration before presenting to committees e.g. Investment Committee, Risk Committee, and Board of Directors.

Project Development

  • Develop and direct strategic plans for projects that focus on greenfield development.
  • Review and ensure the brownfield/greenfield engineering process, project feasibility, and technical details for project approval.

The Successful Applicant

  • Master's degree in business administration, Finance, or other related field, background in Engineering is preferable.
  • 10-15 years of business development experience in Power Generation Business, Renewable Energy Business, or other related Infrastructure Business.
  • At least 5 years of experience at the management level.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills.
  • Proven ability to build business strategies and to manage and assure the execution of activities adhering to the strategy.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication (written and verbal), and presentation skills are required.
  • Thai and English language proficiency.
