The Business Controller will play a key role in driving financial performance and supporting strategic decision-making. This position requires strong expertise in cost control, budgeting, and financial analysis within a manufacturing and supply chain environment.

Our client is a global organisation within the industrial and manufacturing sector. They operate on a significant scale with a strong presence in Bangkok.

Job Description

Standard Costing & Budgeting

  • Lead the annual standard costing process and ensure accurate cost setting for the manufacturing plant.
  • Drive the annual budgeting process, collaborating with Supply and Production teams.
  • Prepare and deliver budget presentations for Supply and Production stakeholders.



Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Perform monthly variance analysis on production costs, supply chain expenses, and operational performance.
  • Provide actionable insights to management for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.



Capex & Inventory Management

  • Control and support Capex budgeting, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Conduct inventory write-off risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.



Compliance & Taxation

  • Understand and manage the complexity of VAT structure and ensure compliance with local regulations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Business Controller should have:

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in Accounting & Finance roles.
  • Audit background is a plus.
  • Experience in manufacturing plant cost control or supply chain finance within a multinational company (MNC) is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Base in Bangkok and also occasionally travel to the plant.
  • Thai Speaker with good English proficiency
