This is a key role within the APAC team, the Professional Education Manager will be working closely with the Regional Sales and Marketing Manager for Southeast Asia as well as the rest of the APAC S&M team which he/she will be one of the key members.

Job Description

The first objective of this newly created function will be to establish a Centre of Excellence in Thailand with a local hospital to focus on Cardiovascular procedures, MIS included, and promote the entire portfolio. The field of Cardio-vascular is the main specialty and in which the products are the most highly differentiated and regarded.On top of that APAC and specifically Southeast Asia is the area with the fastest development and highest growth. This is why the center of excellence is created and will be the foundation for further development.Center of excellence and related activities will be the main task of the role. Associated to that, the professional education manager will be working as part of a cross-functional team, assisting in the commercialization of current and future products. There will be heavy emphasis on one-on-one communication and relationship building skills with physician customers, distributors, and regional managers.

Establishing a Centre of Excellence in Thailand in collaboration with an identified hospital and put in place activities/workshops as centre for most of the trainings in APAC
*Build on the Centre of Excellence a whole program of events and expand with more hospital partnerships, different types of events, trainings in operating room, cadaver labs, factory visits, KOL meetings, new product launches, innovation labs
*Ensure perfect planning of the events
*Developing and maintaining a high level of clinical and product knowledge especially in the cardiovascular area.*
Developing strong KOL relationship and network with CV professional associations throughout Southeast Asia and APAC
*Be the primary link to the global marketing team and as such represent APAC for any input for marketing and communication plan, new product launches, branding strategies, market research
*Ensure that all activities have an impact on short and medium term sales development

The Successful Applicant

  • Fluent in English
  • Minimum of 8 years of working experience in healthcare industry, preferably medical devices including a minimum of 3 years in marketing product management and/or professional education experience.
  • Having the experience in the Cardiovascular, Thoracic and General surgery segments dealing with sutures and surgical instruments.
  • Strong operational focus, marketing ability to organize customer events and build an inspiring foundation for the development of our image and business in APAC
  • Strong commercial focus - an ability to discern business opportunities from market insights and drive these to successful business results. Highly developed collaboration skills with an ability to work across a matrix organization, influencing peers, other functions with credibility and strong business leadership.
  • Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, to interpret data effectively to drive commercial decisions and possessed the ability to drive strategy and change while implementing, analysing and continually deploying best practices.
  • Conversant in the Asia Pacific surgical and instruments and knowledge on market environment, access, trend, regulatory, reimbursement policy, and channel management with the focus in primary markets such as Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan and Australia.
  • Familiar with all business tools like Microsoft suite. PowerBI is desirable but not compulsory. Strong appetite for digitalisation and numeric tools
  • Degree in Business or Science or equivalent qualification level is required. MBA or post graduate qualification is preferred but not compulsory for the role.
