Job Description

  • Reconcile accounts, record journal entries, and maintain a precise and comprehensive general ledger following accounting principles and reporting timelines, ensuring the organization possesses an accurate representation of its financial status.
  • Gather, organize, validate, and analyze financial data, generating financial reports and statements to furnish senior management with precise and timely information for financial decision-making. These reports encompass profit and loss statements, balance sheets, depreciation schedules, cash flow analyses, debtor and creditor records, repayment plans, regulatory filings, and reports.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable advisor in accounting matters, offering technical guidance within their area of expertise to functional or operational managers and colleagues in the finance domain.
  • Uphold compliance with GBS quality standards, Essity policies, guidelines like MICR, and statutory regulations. Conduct quality assessments and safeguard accounting processes as outlined in framework agreements or Service Level Agreements. Supervise and endorse special procedures related to designated accounting services. Address and resolve escalated issues from Accounting Administrators and others, escalating any potential challenges or queries to higher levels with secure hand-over procedures to the Accounting Team Leader and Accounting Manager.
  • Contribute insights to the primary contact regarding necessary alterations, inefficiencies, or potential concerns. Participate in identifying and implementing effective solutions within a matrix organizational structure.
  • Adhere to accounting standards, Essity policies such as MICR, and statutory regulations, maintaining liaison with the Business Unit Controlling network and business contacts. Provide support in addressing both external and internal audit findings.

The Successful Applicant

  • At least 6 - 8 years of experience covering full loop of accounting including the ability to work with external auditors and tax consultants.
  • Excellent command of English.
  • Experience working in an MNC environment.
  • CPD license is mandatory.
